Meishan Boya Advanced Materials Co., Ltd. signed a complex asset purchase and patent deal with Luxium Solutions SAS and its US sister company

On December 17, 2024, Meishan Boya Advanced Materials Co.,Ltd (“Boya”), a leading Chinese company in Lutetium Silicate Scintillation Crystals, signed a complex asset purchase (iridium crucibles), and patent deal with Luxium Solutions SAS and its US sister company (“Luxium”), a top player in this field and portfolio company of SK Capital. Luxium is a former subsidiary of French giant Saint-Gobain.

The Deal

Boya secures exclusive rights to use Lutetium Silicate Scintillation Crystal patents owned by Luxium and the deal is a complex asset deal agreement, subject to French FDI control. The agreement expands Boya’s IP portfolio and underscores its commitment to maintaining a leading edge in the field.
