Jay M. Zammit

Biography

Jay Zammit has 30 years of experience advising in the areas of corporate finance, capital markets and securities regulation, including financing, reorganizations, takeovers, mergers, shareholder disputes, acquisitions, dispositions and strategic relationships. He has served on the boards of 15 public companies. He also serves on the board of several private companies as well as several non-profit organizations.

Throughout his career, Jay has provided considerable leadership and vision as a dynamic entrepreneurial focused adviser. As a leading counsel he is recognized in the area of corporate and securities laws, combined with business skills and understanding which allow him to appreciate both the legal and business facets and the manner in which those two facets interact. Jay is known for incubating enterprises and providing a leadership role in start-ups and emerging companies. He was one of four founders of Ithaca Energy Inc., a North Sea Oil and Gas development and production company. He remained as an adviser and a member of the Board of Directors until Ithaca was acquired in 2017 for an enterprise value of more than $1.2B.
