DS Avocats has advised Menissez, a French supplier of industrial bakery products, in the signature, along with 9 other industrial companies, of a new power purchase agreement (PPA) for a 56 MW solar power plant developed by Voltalia in the South of France. This contract is one of the first multi-buyer solar PPAs in Europe.
The ten companies that signed the purchase agreement, including Air France, Bonduelle, Daco Bello, Fournier, Gerflor, Isigny Sainte-Mère, the Laiterie de Saint-Denis de l’Hotel, LCL, Menissez, the Paprec Group and Serge Ferrari, are guaranteed access to green electricity for 20 years at a tariff protected from price volatility. They will share 100% of the production of the future solar power plant to be built in the south of France specifically for their needs.
The participation of the bank LCL in the operation provided the solvency guarantees essential to this project, which will result in the construction of a new 56 megawatt photovoltaic power plant in the Occitanie region.
