The Alberta government’s recent extensive red tape reduction measures are designed to attract not only investment, but entrepreneurs and innovative businesses to Alberta as part of the government’s Alberta Recovery Plan to grow and diversify the Alberta economy. In an effort to make Canada’s trade remedies regime more accessible, the federal government has made amendments to the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA) and the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Act (CITT Act).
